Grab a Book- We’re Closed On Labor Day

Attention bookworms: Chicago Books to Women in Prison is going to be taking Sunday, September 1 off from packing books in observance of labor day. We invite you to read a good book that day…maybe Nelson Lichtenstein’s State of the Union?


1,193 packages so far in 2020!

In 2019, we sent 5,117 packages—more than 15,300 books and composition books—to women and trans people locked up across the country. (In 2018 we sent 4,852 packages.) Big, big thanks to all our supporters because we couldn’t do it without you. (updated March 15, 2020)
